Today began the training seminar! Wow - as I'm typing things are hurting and bruises slowly appear (yahoo arm conditioning). Exhausted and delighted. We all are. It is such an honor to learn from the Okinawans, who are excellent teachers, and train with people from around the world.
Here are some pictures from the past few days!
Beginning of Today: Training at the Naha (capital of Okinawa) City gym. Amazing architecture as well! Here everyone is warming up before the seminar begins. Seeing as there was no air conditioning, everyone warmed up pretty quickly.
Here's the gym a bit more - the front is where the stage is.

Sensei Clarke, Beth, Sara (myself) and Bill (my dad) in front of the Jundokan. We are a bit sweaty after a hard work out, again from which we learned alot.

This tree took my breath away. It currently is growing in the ruins of a 15th century temple right in the middle of Naha, destroyed during World War II.

Eating at the Naha equivalent of a Denny's. Amazing chopstick action.

Walking down the main street of Naha, right outside of our hotel.

Very Random: The school girls at our restaraunt thought we were something (being American maybe?) and wanted their picture taken with us. We kindly obliged. Dad is in the corner! (just not in front of the camera)

That's it! Until soon.
